This Majestically-styled, portable theater features a non-tip design, red velvet curtains and a removable canvas backdrop. Works with marionettes or hand puppets, and sets up easily for performances! Assembled, this Puppet Theater is 23 inches wide, 19 inches tall and 11 inches deep.

SPECIAL WOODEN MARIONETTES

The term 'Marionette' does not mean 'string puppet' as many suppose. Rather, it refers to 'little Marys' which were puppets used long ago in religious plays. By definition, Marionettes can be Hand Puppets, String Puppets, Ventriloquist Dummys or, in this case Rod Puppets. These wooden puppets, designed for ages 3 and up, are hand painted and come with a unique control handle that brings them to life. Prince Doug (#M3887) and Princess Melissa (#M3888) are both about 9 inches tall (not including the control rod) and their Horse 'Sawdust' (#M3889) is about 5 inches tall and 9 inches long. Our wooden puppet theater has a sturdy, non-tip base and plenty of room inside for a puppeteer or two to put on a show! The playful, detailed graphics and plus, velvty curtains will help inspire creativity and expression in any child. This 8' x 6.5' professional-size Classroom Hand-Puppet Stage easily snaps together and comes complete with curtains. This is the stage we take with us when we demonstrate puppetry at large exhibit halls and is perfectly suited for classroom use. The puppeteers sit on chairs (rather than kneel) behind curtains which have been specifically selected to allow the puppeteers to see the puppets and the audience, but without the audience seeing them. The curtain length is exactly tailored to allow the proper display of the puppets without tiring the puppeteers.

Constructed out of solid pine, this accessory folds in half for easy storage and needs no additional hardware to secure onto the stage.
