#2511 KOALA
& BABY
Koalas are not bears. They are
MARSUPIALS, which means that they carry their
young in a pouch. They have two thumbs on their
front paws - to help them climb, to hold onto the
tree and to grip their food. Koalas are mostly
NOCTURNAL animals which means that they sleep in
the daytime, and move around and feed at night.
They are territorial animals and do not wander
aimlessly through the bush. Our Koala Hand Puppet
is 15 inches long and carries a baby Koala.

#2515 LLAMA
Fossil footprints found in
California indicate that llamas originated in
North America around nine million years ago. The
original camelids started out in North America
and the animals that moved north and crossed the
Bering land bridge evolved into camels, while the
ones that migrated to the south became the
llama family. Most llamas now are
native to western South America, mostly Bolivia,
Chile, and Peru. This Hand Puppet Llama is 23
inches tall.
