By definition, any extinct true elephant of the family Elephantidae. Living in the Pleistocene era, the Woolly Mammoth was about 9 feet tall and had tusks up to 16 feet in length (that sounds a bit awkward to us unless they are curled like corkscrews... otherwise it would be hard to turn around without stabbing something). No such problem with our Woolly Mammoth Hand Puppet as he is only 21 inches long and his tusks are not sharp!

#2810 AFRICAN ELEPHANT

Males stand about 12 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh around 12,000 lbs, while females stand 10 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh between 8,000 and 10,000 lbs. Our African Elephant Hand Puppet on the other hand (no pun intended) is only 8 inches tall and 15 inches long and has a movable mouth and trunk.
